Stix Mindfulness new content

Exciting News: A New Library of Stix Mindfulness Exercises Launching very soon!

Stix Mindfulness is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of our expanded exercise library, a collection of 99 activities designed to bring mindfulness skills to children and parents alike. With 21 new activities across a range of themes, Stix is here to support families facing a variety of challenges, from easing anxiety to improving sleep and building confidence. Here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming next month.

What’s New?

This December, Stix Mindfulness will launch an all-new subscription option packed with fresh content for our users. Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • 21 New Activities, Each with 3 Levels: We’re adding a total of 33 activities, bringing the entire library to 99 exercises. These new activities are designed not just for children but also have a few in there for parents to enjoy too!

  • Targeted for Real Family Needs: While the original 12 Stix activities introduced mindfulness concepts through our core categories—Breath, Body, Mind, and Heart—this new collection goes further. Based on feedback from families, we know every household faces unique mental wellbeing challenges, from anxiety and self-confidence to neurodiversity needs like ADHD and Autism. Instead of focusing solely on core mindfulness skills, the new activities are tailored to address specific areas families told us were most important.

Categories to Look Forward To

The new Stix library organises activities into these challenge-based categories:

  • Emotional Regulation

  • Better Sleep

  • Ease Anxiety

  • Improve Focus

  • Build Confidence

  • Stix Sports

  • Calming Down

A Sneak Peek at Some of the New Activities

Get ready for a mix of engaging and impactful activities designed to support emotional and mental wellbeing:

  • Mindful Penalties (Stix Sports)

A unique blend of mindfulness and movement, this activity brings calm and focus to soccer practice! Children use the Stix remotes to visualize kicking a penalty shot, encouraging calm concentration and breathing before each “kick.” It’s a fun way to combine sports and mindfulness, helping kids learn focus and patience in a playful setting.

  • Mindful Music (Better Sleep)

Designed to guide children into restful sleep, the Stix remotes play soothing music to create a calm, comforting atmosphere. With gentle melodies and relaxing tones, Mindful Music sets the stage for a peaceful transition to bedtime, easing away the day’s anxieties.

  • Reactions (Improving Focus)

This calming take on “whack-a-mole” is all about focus and reaction speed! Children sit with their Stix remotes, waiting for the sound of a soft gong. When they hear it, they quickly press down with their remotes to stop the sound, encouraging fast yet mindful reactions. This activity helps children develop patience, attention, and quick reflexes in a relaxed way.

  • Affirmations (Building Confidence)

Boosting confidence has never been easier! This activity leads children through a series of positive affirmations, such as “I am strong,” “I am beautiful,” and “I am enough.” As the Stix voice speaks each affirmation, children can repeat them aloud or quietly to themselves, helping to build self-esteem and a positive self-image. Other activities in this category, such as ‘Super-Human’, explore a similar concept using affirmations in the context of being a super hero.

Why Are There 3 Levels?

One request we heard consistently was that children wanted less introductory content and more active play as they became familiar with an exercise. Our solution? Levels! Each activity now has three levels:

  • Level 1 introduces the activity, walking children through each step.

  • Level 2 and Level 3 reduce initial instructions, allowing for a longer, more engaging experience as children grow more comfortable with the activity.
