What We Discovered

Key Findings

86% of children had a decrease in their anxiety and depression scores after using Stix, it also helped them improve their mood.

6 in 7 children said Stix had helped them with their relationships when angry or upset

100% of children wanted to continue the study at home after it had ended. Children really valued the independence provided by the Stix Remotes, without needing input from teachers or parents.

Every child taking part said that the Stix activities taught them skills that they used in their daily lives, for example, learning to take a step back and breathe when they are feeling angry.
What We Discovered

Study Summary

The study involved eight children between the ages of 9-10, seven girls, and one boy.

As part of the 4-week Mindfulness Skills programme, children practiced 3 activities each day, with the activities changing to each week. The children were interviewed about their experience with the Stix on a weekly basis and then on completion.

Overall, the Stix Remotes and the activities were very well received by the children, and the results suggest an improvement in psychological wellbeing. However, due to the small sample size in this pilot study, a more detailed study, including a matched control group/training, is recommended before making any conclusions about how Stix technology helps children’s mental health and wellbeing.

Real Stories, Real Impact

Case Studies

A specialist told us to do 10 minutes of mindfulness a day, and Stix has enabled Bella to do just that. They've helped her so much with her anxiety. You really can't put a price on supporting mental health so this was a worthy investment.

Ruth

Using Stix with my Year 1 and 2 students, including those with special needs, has been an absolute game-changer. It's not just a tool; it's a lifeline for busy teachers and stressed-out students alike. Highly recommended for any primary classroom!"

They offer a really good intro into to mindfulness concepts at a young age, for our daughter who is deeply feeling.

Great Idea, Great product!

My son is really enjoying these. They are helping him to connect more with his body, and with his emotions.
A few notes to make them even better:
1. A lot of the activities are "coming soon" which he finds frustrating.
2. As a very detail oriented child, he doesn't like that the colours of the rainbow are wrong in the rainbow activity. A rainbow has red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.
3. He struggles with balance and the balance activity is very hard. It would be great to have an easier level of this activity.

Thanks for creating a great product that will help so many people!

It really does help!!

We have only had the stix for around a week now and already can see a massive difference in our daughter’s anxiety particularly when it comes to bedtime. She would suffer a lot with bedtime anxiety and the Stix have helped relax her before bed and she would seek them out herself when feeling worried. We are especially looking forward to the launch of the new library of activities - the range of new activities sounds great and and we can’t wait to try them!

Fantastic for promoting relaxation and concentration

My daughter has taken to this device quite quickly and has been enjoying the relaxation activities and it has helped her calm down I have started to notice her feeling like she is ready for bed slightly better. I like the games and the activities and that you can select more than one child to use I am very impressed with this product

👌

Our daughter, 6 years old, was diagnosed as autistic last year. She has always struggled with regulating her emotions. She found a love for yoga last term at school and her ELSA sessions focused on mindfulness. We try everything we can to help her so had to give these a go when we saw them mentioned on a Facebook page. She loves them, she goes and gets them out herself and if she's had a tough day at school she quite often says I need my stix when we get home.
